(2) Drive through the scenic Fuji Subaru Line to Mt Fuji 5th Station(the 2300 high spot) and look at the summit above and Yamanashi city streets below. (3) Savour lunch: Tobanyaki (meats and vegetables cooked on a ceramic griddle), deep-fried Wakasagi smelts, and cold Soba buckwheat noodles. (4) At the foot of Mt Fuji, view flowers in season: lavenders(until mid July), zinnias & sunflowers(from late July to August). (5) Taste and buy wines at a winery in Japan's wine production centre Yamanashi.
