  • [Kamikochi Recommended Outfit] It is recommended to wear a pair of walking shoes, a rain wear and extra clothes that you can put on and off according to the weather and temperature of the day. As Kamikochi is a mountainous region at 1,500m above sea level, the weather is variable and the temperature is usually 5-10 degrees Celsius lower than Matsumoto, a town located at the foot of the mountains at 600m high. Kamikochi occasionally gets below zero especially in early spring or at the turn of the seasons. It even snows in early May and gets lower than 10 degrees Celsius in the middle of the summer.
  • On 16, 17, 23 September, 7, 8, 14 October in the view of environmental protection, you will be asked to change to a shuttle bus to go to Kamikochi and back. You can leave your big luggage such as a suitcase in the main bus.
  • In case if Abo tunnel will be closed, this tour will not be able to visit Kamikochi. The itinerary will be changed to strolling in Takayama city. Please be noted it will not cause any refund to you.
  • Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended.
  • Visiting spots might be very cold. Bringing thick winter clothes is strongly recommended.
  • According to traffic conditions etc, the order of the itinerary may have to be changed.
  • The best time for viewing autumn leaves might change slightly depending on the weather.
  • Please note that the tour is for Japanese citizens and basically operated in Japanese. The accompanied staff gives you the basic information (such as meeting place and time at each stop) in English or Chinese, however, she/he does not gives you the detailed information of visiting places.
  • We will not be responsible for any delays, shortenings or omissions made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond our control.
  • If we have to cancel the tour for typhoon, heavy snow, or other circumstances beyond our control, we decide the matter by 3pm Japan time one day before the departure and inform you about it by e-mail.
  • The place that the tour disbands may be different from the one that it meets. For the actual place, ask the tour conductor on the spot.
